Study Spaces and Atmosphere

Image
LSU Library has many study spaces, and most students love it! Almost any day during the semester the library will be jam-packed with students. It's comfortable, quiet, and sometimes filled with laughter.    The majority of the tables and desks throughout LSU Library are treated as open seating for anyone to use. These spaces are available on all floors of the library. Certain areas are designated for quiet study; these include sections of the second and third floors and the entirety of the fourth. Regardless of where you are, please remember to be respectful of other patrons studying nearby. There are several bookable group study rooms and individual study booths located on the third and fourth floors. Walk-up use of these spaces is encouraged, but reservations always take priority. Faculty and graduate students may also request a key for their own priva te study carrel. All study booths on the second floor are currently open for anyone to use.  h...

The Importance of LSU Library

Image
LSU Library was built on September 12, 1959, where many students study, work, eat, relax, and sometimes even hang out with friends. Experiencing all the aspects of the library is life-changing. There are so many resources available like study rooms, textbooks, computers, and even umbrella checkouts.    LSU Library will remain important! It's an information hub for not just students but to doctors, tourists from all over, and even professors. Many if not most students have to go to the library every day. The resources and tools there are set up to help everyone be successful, with those resources how can you fail?  It's important to have a place set aside for learning and development rather than merely having access to books. The library offers an environment where you can truly concentrate on your academic goals, whether you're working on a research paper, getting ready for an exam, or just need a quiet place to focus.
